About Maritza

Maritza is a horror artist who specializes in dark fantasy art. She holds an MFA in Illustration, a BFA in Illustration/Animation, and a BA in Linguistics/Psychology. She creates fine art and artisan pieces in a variety of materials including but not limited to: painting, sculpture, jewelry, illustration, and photography.

“I love to explore what I believe to be one of the most raw and strong emotions a human can experience, and I strive to create a sense of fear, unsettledness, and anxiety in my viewers.

I blend psychological horror, fantasy, and sometimes even my own nightmares into my pieces. I primarily work in traditional media, but also use digital means to make my works come to life.”
